Moving, intriguing, “freaking amazing”, awesome and soulful are just a handful of the words and phrases that critics and fans alike have used to describe the refreshingly original songwriting and vocal talents of Singaporean acoustic artist Ling Kai.

Literally rising to stardom overnight and becoming Singapore's first Youtube phenomenon when her self-penned acoustic guitar song ‘Larkin Step’ garnered over a million hits, the 23 year old singer/songwriter has moved from strength to strength and carved her own niche in the independent music scene both at home and across the globe.

Signed to Australian indie label Lempicka Records, Ling released her debut EP “Honestly” in November 2008, a six track testament that combines the strength of her poetic lyrics, heart-rending vocals and emotive tunes to take the listener on a musical journey that is both truly honest and refreshing.

An avid performer and a permanent fixture on the Singapore live scene, Ling Kai has commandeered an ever growing fan base and built a reputation for delivering solid shows that engage and move the audience every time. She has wowed fans at some of Singapore's finest venues and triumphantly opened for international independent superstar Aimee Mann at the Esplanade Concert Hall in August 2009.
